In the first scene of “The Tempest”, the viewers can see how the chain of command works between different characters in the boat, viewers see how Alonzo, the king of Naples, seats in a chair, while another tripulant of the boat cover the sun to him with an umbrella. This shows the first introduction of power and control. Who are those that have the power and those that lack of it. Soon after that viewer can see how a storm causes, causing the ship to sink, and the tripulant of the boat, to find their survivance on a desert island, this storm was caused by Ariel, a servant of Prospero, which has magical powers that can causes storms as they want. This is another example power and control within The Tempest.
