My name is Nerissa Kendall, and I recently graduated from Grover Cleveland High school which is located in Ridgewood Queens. I came to LaGuardia community college since it’s not to far from home for me, and I also came here to help pursue my career of interest. My major is in Vet Tech, and I picked Vet Tech as my major because I know I have the ability to save the lives of many animals. Growing up as a kid I’ve own many different pets, and each time it was a new experience for me to learn from and take in. Even though I want to be a veterinarian in the future, a slight obstacle that I face is my allergies towards fur animals like cats, and dogs. Although this is a struggle for me, It won’t stop me from reaching my goal. I would rather have a career that I enjoy then being bored not doing something I don’t feel passionate about.
