Introduction – Lissy Zapata.
Hello, my name is Liseivet Zapata. I am a Criminal Justice student here at LaGuardia Community College, currently in my third and last year, hoping to graduate by June 2024. I am 21 years old. I am Colombian, born and raised, which means my first language is Spanish. I moved to the United States when I was 9 years old and learned English here in the U.S. Currently, I am learning French. A fun fact about me is that I have 9 siblings, with me we are 10 in total, but only four of us share the same mom and dad, the rest are only siblings from dad’s side. I am the youngest of all. Some of my hobbies are reading, singing, listening to music, sometimes painting, and sleeping (is that a hobby? I don’t know but I sure do love it). I like to think of myself as a fun person but also serious when I need to be. I am known to be the “therapist” and “mom” of my friend group, which is a blessing and a curse, and I am going to therapy because of it (TMI?) I am a huge Harry Potter, Marvel, and Star Wars fan. On a serious note, as I’m a Criminal Justice student, my goal is to one day be a forensic psychologist. After LaGuardia, I am hoping to transfer to John Jay College of Criminal Justice and continue my studies there, and for a long-term goal obtain my Ph.D. in forensic psychology. I am excited for this class. Thank you for your time.
