“This World is Not Conclusion” by Emily Dickinson. Her title is a representation of the poem itself. She states “the world is not conclusion”, and she purposefully leaves her poem incomplete. What she wants us to know is the incompleteness of the world. Hence the reason for her poem and its incompleteness. The mysteriousness is the interpretation itself, the readers are left with pieces of information to unscramble. Another instance where she makes us interpret is with her remark of another species or dimension. She writes ” A Species stands beyond –Invisible, as Music –But positive, as Sound –It beckons, and it baffles”, it’s there but it’s not. To me she is explaining something that transcends both time and space and just seems to exist.
